The papat command
Send a folder of exported photos to papat from the terminal. It uses only what macOS provides (no Python or extra tools).
Mac only.
Version 0.1.0 ・ SHA-2563e4bf749393495f4f6bb042eb688058ab5850ceeac47371f76026dd5e0c1f793
Download and install
Download and unzip the ZIP, then in the terminal go to the unzipped folder and run install.sh.
If ~/.local/bin isn't on your PATH, the installer shows the line to add. Open a new terminal window afterwards.
Run papat login and enter the API key you created in the dashboard. It is stored in your Mac's Keychain.
Don't paste the API key into a command argument or an AI chat.
Upload
Run papat upload with a folder. It prints the URL, passcode and the message to send your client.
If the connection drops, run the same command again and it continues from where it stopped.
See the selections
Run papat selections with the gallery's ID to see your client's picks.
You can find the gallery ID with papat list.
Example
# Install (in the unzipped folder)
./install.sh
# First time only: enter the API key (stored in Keychain)
papat login
# Upload an exported folder (add --background to run detached)
papat upload "$HOME/Pictures/Shoot/for-selection" --title "Spring catalog" --days 7
# List galleries and see the selections
papat list
papat selections <ID>Your photos are not modified. A resized temporary copy is made for uploading.
Want an AI to do it?
You can say "upload this folder to papat". The AI never needs to open your photos.
