Ask an AI

If you use an AI agent such as Claude Code or Codex, you can ask it to handle papat tasks. There is one skill for each job.

Never give your API key to an AI

The API key lets anyone operate your galleries. Create it and enter it yourself, so it never ends up in an AI chat or history (for the command, open your own terminal and run papat login). If an AI asks you for the key, don't enter it.

Ask it to install the Lightroom Classic plugin

The AI downloads the plugin, verifies its checksum and puts it in place.

What to tell the AI

Install papat's Lightroom Classic plugin. The steps are at https://papat.app/agent/SKILL.md. I'll paste the API key myself, so don't ask me for it.

What the AI can do

  • Download and unzip the plugin
  • Prepare where it lives
  • Guide you through adding it in Lightroom

What you do yourself

  • Work in the Lightroom Classic window (add it in Plug-in Manager)
  • Create and paste the API key

Ask it to "upload this folder to papat"

The AI sends a folder you have already exported to papat in the background with the papat command, then hands you the gallery URL and passcode.

What the AI can do

  • Get the papat command and verify its checksum
  • Run papat upload and check progress
  • Report the gallery URL, passcode and message

What you do yourself

  • papat login (enter the API key, in your own terminal)
  • Choose the folder, title and days

The AI never needs to open your photos. It only handles the folder path and doesn't look at the pictures.
